i dont know what I am doing

Wow the other day I said... I really want to make an XANGA post but I dont remember what it was going to be on.

Well Ive been ok lately. Some of you know I had a hard week last week, yeah preety hard. But I am sooooo much better lately. ooooh I am getting Ideas on what to post about.

Idea #1 and profusion of it:

Last week when I was VERY discouraged, my mother made me go to this youth rally. It was actually the first of its kind at this AWESOME church at which my God parents are pastors and several other God parents and close friends are in leadership. I usually need NO prodding to go to this church, because I LOVE everyone at that church. Half the church knows us and that half is almost all comprised of the leadership. So they take really good care of us and are always challenging me spiritually and just SO encouraging to me. So it was a very weird night in which I didnt want to go. But these preacher was there, who was wonderful. He is known for his ability to break down the text of the Word of God, (and all the Lecrae fans shouted: CHOP IT UP AND SCREW IT!!!).

He spoke out of the text of Ezra and Haggai in which there were 2 of the same biblical accounts. Its the story of when the Children of Israel were allowed by their Persian captor to return to Jerusalem and build a temple. He talked about how some of the children of Israel did not want to go, some did and when they did they were so invigorated and excited to be in and to be building the temple of the Lord up again. Then he talked about those did go back to Jerusalem but they were the older generation and were disappointed because the Temple was not enough like the Temple of the days of Solomon. And so at the ceremony the elders of Israel wept and the Children were dancing, praising and shouting. So much so that you could not tell the difference between the laughing and shouting and the crying, this noise was heard miles away. Are we willing to leave the things of this world behind to be free but in that freedom to be bond by Gods Promises and obedience to Him? The pastor said

We are responsible, WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY even if we are not in our place of comfort or if we are in a place where it is not assumed that this is our responsibility. We are still responsible for repping the Lord (and all the Lecrae and Cross Movement fans said: REP HIM AND REP HIM WELL) and for upholding and building His Kingdom wherever we go.

If you think this is difficult you are right :

Dont let your PERSONAL PREFERENCES overide GOD's PRINCIPLES.

I love that statement. It give full license for us to be sold out for our LORD.

Wow since this post was soooo heavy Ill stop at Idea #1. lol

I love unanim3 its awesome. I listen to christiana rap and reaggatton all day!!! wooop woop and its all in spanish.

ok this is getting more and more random. My stomach hurts.

  • Living Dangerously

Someone said to me yesterday “You strike me as someone who doesn’t live too dangerously, who just kind of says “I have my responsibilities and everything else gets in
Way” (he said this in response to me stating that I did not drink) To that I responded promptly “That’s me.” Then I said, “I live dangerously in other ways” To which he replied “See your always making these cryptic statements” Which definitely got a laugh out of me. But even then I was already thinking… living dangerously…
I wondered if going up and down my block (at the age of 12) sharing the gospel counted as living dangerously. I wondered if the fact that the last 2 overseas countries that I have worked in have had bombings and bomb threats a week to two days before my arrival, or hugging and playing with lice and AIDS infected children, or perhaps traveling to Oaxaca every year at a time it is avoided by tourists and abandoned by its own country men to escape riotings, killings and precivil war action. Perhaps my commitment to missions without money, resources or anything needed, or the teaching of “Character Building” in “inner city schools” where prayer isn’t even allowed isn’t dangerous. But not even the earthly thrill and excitement I procure from any of the things I listed some how seems to be less than the thrill one may get from going out on the town drinking.
Praise God and to Him be the Glory for giving us greater works in Him that will never be done if we continue to seek Him. There will always be kingdom building work to be done and it will always be my greatest honor to do that work as it is assigned to me.

  • One word describes the Michigan Wolverines:

    GLADIATORS!

I hate to steal this old adage from the .... what was the that name again...? oh Yes the Spartans. Seeing that they were some of the original Gladiators but like the spartans of old, they have faded like a memory. My little brother reminisces a game between U of M and Eastern, I think not to be so harsh.

What makes a Gladiator? My brother, Klark, says it takes a 55 to Zip score like we scored against Eastern. I say: Strength and Honor.

STRENGTH: That means Chad Henne NEVER giving up. Even when we were down 3 points in the 3rd Quarter, he came back with a winning performance TWO 4th quarter touch down passes, unheard of but the standard at Michigan. As I write this I am listening to the Transformer Sdtrk. How inspiring! But all this talk 4th quarter touchdowns and never giving can be applied to many quarter backs, especially in the BigTen. But Chad Henne, what we didnt notice played like a champion, even when he was hurt. I dont know if anyone noticed or cared, but this Gladiator, was definately hurting in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Coming off of a shoulder injury and playing like a champ and even taking a few VERY hard hits from the professional linemen at that... place, otherwise known as Michigan State. Obviously these hits, could hurt us even more so next week than anything. Hart also was suffering injuries, not only was he taking man on man coverage, but also recovering. This time from an ankle injury, he suffers still. And played like a champ. Hart has alot Heart- This from my lil brother Kaleb.THAT is the strength of a Gladiator

HONOR: After the game Mike Hart gathered the excited... OVERexcited team together for a team prayer. They proceeded to break "huddle" and turn and bow to the crowd. TRULY a class act. What a classy group of guys! (I thought it interesting that Henne did not pray with the team but while running back to the locker room, he trips and falls right underneath the shadow of the goal post! That was hilarious! Next time pray with your fellow teammates, Henne!)

Strength and Honor, Strength and Honor.

    True Gladiators.

    GO BLUE!!!
